Outstanding Stories by Past General Authorities by Leon R. Hartshorn

Like the 'apostles' book, this book is filled with interesting and inspiring stories from many early LDS leaders. Some of these men were unfamiliar to me to, so I was able to learn a bit more about them. One to a few different stories are shared from each, often as they were related by the person themselves as an excerpt from a talk. These stories could be included is lessons or talks as illustrations of faith and the Lord's dealings in our lives.
