- Short biography
- He moved his family to Milwaukee in 1951 to work for the 35th & Cherry Church of Christ. In 1958 he helped establish the Southside Church of Christ where he labored for over 50 years. Hawley was an author of four books and four Bible correspondence courses. He was also a founding member of the Wisconsin Christian Youth Camp (WCYC) and a member of the York College Board of Trustees for 21 years. He was a graduate of Harding University, and earned a master’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He authored the book, Redigging the Wells. He was committed to the ideal of Christian unity, and believed wholeheartedly in the notion that we are “Christians only—but not the only Christians.” Monroe’s younger brother, the late Roger Hawley, taught for Lubbock Christian College in the 1970s.

The book includes a "Scriptural Index" and a general index. I acquired my copy on used book market.… (more)
