Knickers!: An Intimate Appraisal by Rosemary Hawthorne

Great fun, and wonderfully glib. If you ever get to see the author in person, her one-woman shows are worth a trip. I can think of a lot of period fiction that would benefit from some of Rosemary Hawthorne's research, and it's hardly onerous reading! Thorough, well-researched, light in tone and big in gusset.
