Forget How You Found Us is a series of linked stories set in and around Orlando, Florida by various writers. It starts with a girl named Olivia who moves to the area from California with her mother and sister. The stories branch off from there and get progressively odder. The plot, such as it is, becomes disjointed – to be somewhat expected with contributions from sixteen writers in various styles and tenses. Some stories are only peripherally connected to the main thread; several are obsessed with the heat and humidity – it is Florida after all. James Fleming’s contribution, featuring an apparently time-traveling William S. Burroughs at Disney World (of all people!), may be the winner here for pure audacity and weirdness.… (more)
