About the Author

Freeman House, a former commercial salmon fisherman, is cofounder of the Mattole Watershed Salmon Support Group and of the Mattole Restoration Council. He lives in Petroha in the Mattole River valley of northwestern California, and this is his first book.

I initially bought this because it involved "food" I learned far more than anything about food. I think it's a good read, if not a great one, that could be useful and informative to a general reader.
