Matt (Reeves) is a high school stoner whose friend strangles a girl on the riverbank then brings the gang out to see the body. Disturbing movie based on an actual event. Weird performance by Glover as the teen who tries to cover up the murder.

A girl in a small town is murdered.

It's extremely slow at times, with a mostly uninteresting story. But it's pretty amusing when it's good, and memorable. Not nearly as weird as I was expecting.

People in a 1960 advertising office drink a lot and have a lot of sex.

In the first season, I didn't care about the story, but at least there was a story to not care about. This feels more like an enormous epilogue to season one than a series of its own.
