Maryann Jordan

Zander, bar owner, kicks out a patron for harassing a women and then tells her to leave, judging her to innocent to hang around the bar. But a distraction pulls him away before she gets her taxi, resulting in her left vulnerable to attack. Guilt sends him to the hospital to check on her but he ends up going back over and over since she is alone and unknown in her coma. He reads to her every day. This plot was good and the characters endearing. Great side story of Miss Ethel and the group of boys she raised as foster kids, including Zander. I think it was a little drawn out and wordy but otherwise good.… (more)
