Wulfwyn907 | 2 other reviews | Jan 30, 2022 | I got this book on my Kindle and sent a hard copy to my grandson. On the Kindle the pages showed up one at a time. They were clear and it was easy to read the words. The story is a bit silly and made us laugh. My grandson liked the picture of the person tossing up dog biscuits the best. But then he is in the stage where gross stuff is funny. The part he liked best was when the boy won a dog. I think he was holding his breathe waiting for the grandma to say if boy could keep it. It is an enjoyable story. We will be reading this again.
As a long distance grandma I really appreciated having the book available on the Kindle. My grandson lived with me for a time and one of our favorite things to do was cuddle up to read. While we can't cuddle up over the phone or on Skype, both of us having a copy of the book allows us to still read together.
I recommend this to Grandparents to share some special reading time with their grandchildren. My grandson recommends this to all kids who want a dog. He says it is best shared with grandma. My grandson is 5 years old.

Most children love dogs, and when Boy finds himself shopping in a pet store with Grandma, he wants to have one. But will Grandma let him, and what happens in-between? You will have to read the book to find out..
A lovely story introducing children to the responsibility of pet ownership, which has been wonderfully illustrated by this gifted author/illustrator.
