Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts) by Stacia Kane

I tried to make it through this book, wading through the swear words that —I kid you not—are used once every two sentences (if you’re lucky). (To those that think this is anything but lazy authorship, you’re as vocabulary-challenged as this author.) I kept hoping the story would get good, and that it would make me forget the prolific drug use and glorification of the worst behavior humanity has to offer.

It doesn’t. It never gets better. The author apparently thinks that “dark and gritty” (in this case, gross and profane) will make up for not having any sort of plot line.… (more)

Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #1) by Stacia Kane

I really struggled with this book. I just couldn't interested in it. I didn't like the characters. They pretty much were dull, boring and characters that are high the whole book don't interest me. The world building left a bit to be desired as well. The action scenes were lackluster at best. I found myself finding other things to do. I just wasn't interested in this book. It just wasn't my thing.

The main character has 'some' personal issues. There's ghosts, skanks, tats, drugs, and ugly but hot guys. Liked the writing style; was pulled into the setting of the book quickly.
