A fondly remembered object lesson in being yourself, from my sixth grade year in 1970 or 1971.

Does anyone remember this one? I found this little tiny book (about 4x6) when I was a very homely awkward 14-year-old. While I never managed the transformation the heroine of the book did, the message (be yourself) came at a time when I really needed it. The artwork is charming, and the story very funny.
