I love the concept behind this series and certainly will be reading more of them. I will say that this one was a little confusing with the multiple storylines going on, I felt like it was two books mashed into one and it felt chaotic. All that being said, I loved the couple and the way they meet. I can't wait to see more of her sorority sisters find love.

READ THIS BOOK! This is probably my favourite story of the "Filthy Dirty Christmas" series so far. I love the elves and the introduction we are given to their world, it was well done despite being a shorter book. I was so happy to see an MC who was actually hesitant and concerned about the crazy insta love supernatural being instead of just accepting it and jumping him right away. The spice and magical connection still come and are perfect in every way.

I enjoyed the tie back to her friends and how it explained her weird behaviour previously. My favourite part was hands-down how he had been gifting her fantasy books for Christmas to expose her to his world as much as possible it was super cute and obviously worked wonders. Loved the elf connection to trees and books, super cool, I have never seen it made and loved the idea.

We have a sheriff and an FBI agent who trained together 15 years ago and hooked up once before they parted ways, neither has ever quite gotten over the other but they haven't spoken since. Lucy has been working her way up in the FBI while raising her niece in Miami. Wyatt has been the town sheriff of Fate, home to the world's largest ball of yarn. When an assignment sends Lucy to Fate for a couple of days she jumps at the chance for snow and to see Wyatt. These two were meant for each other and the last time they meant was more of a right person, wrong time. But they both have 15 years under their belts at their jobs and Lucy's niece is going to college soon. Will this be their chance to make it happen? Well, it is the town of Fate so we never know what will happen.

I had read Roadside Attraction which is the first in the series previously but didn't notice they were in the same series until she mentioned the town of Fate. I was so excited to see the characters again and will definitely be reading 2-6 of the series now to learn everything. I honestly loved this couple. A lot of second chance romances involve some reconciliation because something went wrong last time but this one was just the wrong time which meant it was more of a matter of figuring out if the spark was still there and it was finally the right time.
I was laughing so hard when they hooked up against the yarn ball and then it ran away. It was priceless. Bless Abby Knox, her humour is top-notch.
I will say that I didn't see the stalker's identity coming until he showed up in person then I saw it when Wyatt was suspicious. Damn Lucy, you are supposed to be a smart girl, he was obviously sus and I was yelling along with Wyatt about staying. Bless Izzy and her daring rescue, gotta the people in this town. I loved the epilogue, they did it with Wyatt giving up something and now Lucy realizes she wants to give hers up instead, also because of her niece. So cute. These two are beautiful and probably a hoot in person. Another great one from Abby Knox who has yet to disappoint.

The opening of this book sold me instantly and I loved Abel from that moment on. The premise is super original and the characters are all insane and amazing. Like even the villains were done perfectly. The Captain was hands down my favourite and I am so proud of him for having his moment! The epilogue was picture perfect and I really want to read her sister’s story now! Sign me up for more from the kingdom of Austero, even with their weird traditions.
