Northern soldiers Sgt. Chesterfield and Corporal Blutch are captured during an unspecified battle of the U.S. Civil War and sent to a Confederate prison camp, where they make repeated escape attempts with many pratfalls and d'oh moments. It's like Hogan's Heroes, but set in a substitute for the dreadful real-life Andersonville prison.
I will not be reading any more of this series.
