- Short biography
- Anemone Latzina was born in Brașov, Romania, to a German-speaking family and studied at the University of Bucharest.
After graduating in 1968, she was editor of the Romanian foreign policy weekly Lumea, and then editor of the German language publication Neue Literatur.
She made her literary debut in 1969 with a collection of poetry called Was man heute so dichten kann. Gedichte (What Can
Still Be Written Today). She found inspiration in the poetry of Bertolt Brecht, in Pop Art, in the poetry of the Beat Generation, and in that of Jaques Prévert. Her works influenced other young writers and poets in Romania.
