The Fall Guy by David Leitch

2024 movie #86. 2024. 18 months after being seriously injured in a stunt gone bad, Cole (Gosling) finds himself working in his ex-girlfriend's (Blunt) blockbuster movie. Long on great stunts and short on CGI, this was a lot of fun. Loosely based on the 1981 Lee Majors TV show.

A stuntman looks for a missing actor.

The action is a lot of fun, but the story has major pacing problems. It needed to be 25 minutes shorter.

John Wick by Chad Stahelski

Well made, great cast, well acted. Unbelievable script. When the bad guy finally catches Wick, he decides to talk to him rather than kill him. Despite the fact that Wick has already murdered about 10,000 of his henchman--only a small exaggeration. Could have been so much better. Reeves is very good, however. Watchable as always.

Bullet Train by David Leitch

A film starring Brad Pitt (Columbia, 2022).

Various criminals have conflicting jobs on a Japanese train.

B+ (Very good).

There are a lot of moving parts going on at once, which makes it a little disappointing when they don't come together for more than fight scenes. But it's a very fun ride, if you just go along with it.
