No one should try to read this as their *first* book on quantum/particle physics; it is considerably more challenging than a popular-level account, though still far simpler than a fully mathematical treatment. Packed with good stuff, it pretty much sticks to the Copenhagen Interpretation of QM and the Standard Model of particles and forces.
