Short biography
Marie Colmont, the pen name of Germaine Moréal de Brévans, was born in Paris and orphaned at a young age. She married Henri Collin Delavaud, with whom she had two daughters, and the family lived in London and the USA before returning to France in 1926.

She wrote children's stories such as Michka (1941), Perlette goutte d'eau (1936) and Marlaguette (1952). Several of her books have been regularly re-published by Flammarion.
