You know, usually when you begin adding supernatural creatures to a book to an excessive degree, my suspension of disbelief is suspended. Not so, here -- I really enjoyed this book, and the many different story threads it threw out in many different directions, waiting to be picked up later. I looked up the author's blog halfway through, and was disappointed to learn that the series would not be continued by her publisher. However, apparently the author is continuing to publish on her own on Wattpad, which I'm going to have to look into. Kudos on the beginning of a kickass series!… (more)

ana is a dhampyre, a half blooded witch/vampire. Sadly for her her mother kept her in the dark about her father, and when he shows up on her birthday begging her to not go through with a witch serimony ana begins to question her herritage and what she really is.

this book has so much potential, its a shame it didnt have anything good happen in it. Tate hallaway has a great way with words it shows throughout the book.

However i felt it was lacking something, like the story was too short for the plot and development. It could have easily been an extra 100 pages that built up the story and added the missing grab.

That being said since i did generally enjoy the book and its concept im going to buy the second one in hope that something more happens.

I really enjoyed this book. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the Parrish/Tereza at the end, but that's because I like Parrish/William.
