El Eternauta es la primera novela gráfica en español y la más importante para el mundo hispanoamericano. Obra cumbre de la ciencia ficción, fue publicada originalmente en Argentina como una serie de 106 entregas desde 1957 a 1959, en la revista Hora Cero Semanal.

...un racconto da diffondere, perche' il maggior
atto di coraggio che ho visto in tutta la
guerra, non resti solo a conoscenza di pochi...
un racconto nel quale si prova che l'uomo,
quello veramente umano, non ha bandiera... e' la
storia del gesto di un soldato nemico,
signor Pike...

L'eternauta by Alberto Breccia Hèctor G. Oesterheld
Più che della storia, forse anche un pò scontata, si viene colpiti dai disegni del Breccia: sembra che non adoperi lapis ma chiodi intinti nell'inchiostro, ed è così che ci rende la sua storia: cruda e reale fin nelle pieghe della nostra 'geworfenheit'.
