This book explains on a fourth grade level about how a tornado is formed. The book also tells what time of year and what states a tornado is most likely to occur in. (Tornado Alley) It also tells the reader what they should know about safety during a tornado and how to prepare for one.

This book can be a little too real for some student. I read it to a fourth grade class (teachers choice) during the month of March in Oklahoma. However, the students were very interested in learning about them because it does hit so close to home.
