In this unusual story, Bosephus, a little boy, comes upon a bear fiddling the familiar strains of the Arkansaw Traveler. The bear's name is Horatio, Ratio for short. Horatio is overjoyed to find that Bosephas can sing and whistle the tunes he likes to play, and they agree to travel about together as a team, to give performances over the countryside and conquer the world.

A witty, gay, amusing story, told with all of Albert Bigelow Paine's delicious humor.
