First Corinthians (Paideia: Commentaries on the New… by Pheme Perkins

This is a competent commentary, but I found it unclear, and even incoherent, at points. A strength is that Perkins incorporates some of the most recent research on 1 Corinthians, and she is strong on describing the social background to the book.
