3.5 stars. I loved the writing style, the old Louisiana setting, and the creepy elements! There were some pacing issues and some confusing bits of the plot that didn’t feel as cohesive as they could be, but I am looking forward to reading more by this author.
Content wise, it’s fairly clean though very much for adults due to dark themes. There are a few instances of taking the Lord’s name in vain and a couple of swear words.
