Droodles by Roger Price
On open library. Would've been cuter back when we had phone booths and when you needed to cut open beer cans with a 'church key.' The annotations to many of the captions are kinda funny. Some of the images match their captions literally, instead of imaginatively, too. But what's really wrecking it for me is that I'm given no chance to 'solve' the image by coming up with a caption... why couldn't Price have made us turn the page? Well, ok, there are five at the end that he suggests we try to caption ourselves. But it's not Manhattan in 1492. it's Phoenix back then, isn't it?

Now if someone wants to revive the art and create a webcomic or ebook, taking my criticisms into account, please let me know as I'm keen on the concept.… (more)

The Ultimate Droodles Compendium: The Absurdly Complete Collection of Roger Price's Classic Zany Creations by Roger Price is a book I requested and the review is voluntary.
I didn't know what Droodles were until I read this and I loved them! Where have I been! The shows a great collection of them. I giggled and giggled at these witty and clever drawing that are labeled so zany! This man and his partner both came up with Mad Libs! I can image that!
This is a fun read!!!
