This one was so disappointing.
I didn't think the story stood out from all the other Snow white re-tellings except this one included Dragons.

But that did not make the story more interesting or add a new element like you would think because Dragon's weren't great, all mighty strong creatures in this book.

The only redeeming character was a bird that kept trying to force dead, raw, gross prey it had killed on the MC because it wanted to share with her. Otherwise, this one was just not interesting to me.… (more)

Gorgeous cover. I'm just so sad I couldn't love it.
I'm a character driven kind of reader. If I don't have enough back or current story to understand the characters or if I don't like them, I typically will not enjoy a book. I know this about myself, I've read enough books to know this....and that's what happened here. It's not a bad book, it was okay as far as entertainment went (it was a wonderful beach read today)

But I also found myself frustrated with a dystopian type world that I didn't understand. I didn't feel like there was enough information and backstory there either.

but for entertainment today at the beach, it was okay - I gave it an extra star just for that.

I wasn't crying at the end, I just had some dust that fell in my eye, lol. I really loved this, my first snow white retelling and reminded me of the show Once upon a time, the twist with the huntsman and dual hearts was definitely different but in a good way.

The was an average retelling and change to a classic story. It didn't wow me even with the unique elements it possessed. That being said, I didn't hate it.

In the beginning I was just NOT feeling it. Once I got to the climax of the story, it got better. The beginning was too slow for me.

If you like fairy tale retelling this one might peak your interest and I deem it worthy of picking up.
