George K. Reid (1918–2002)

The book includes some introductory information on ponds, and overviews of a variety of and animals. The bief descriptions include color illustrations. The book is ideally designed for identification of the various types of pond life. Fungi seem to have been overlooked.

A bit simplistic, but a good beginning introduction.
