Xrx really knows how to sell knitting through pictures. It is sumptuous.

What it is like in practice, however, I can't say. Not good enough to think about knitting lace....

Victorian Lace Today by Jane Sowerby

A somewhat more technical book. Goes into the history of lace knitting in Victorian England. Some very wonderful lace patterns to inspire any lace knitter.
