Short biography: Dalia Stasevska studied violin, viola and composition at the Tampere Conservatory and the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki. As a conductor her teachers include Mikko Franck, Hannu Lintu, Susanna Mälkki, Sakari Oramo, Jorma Panula, Jukka-Pekka Saraste and Leif Segerstam.

She became Principal Guest Conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra in July 2019, making her BBC Proms debut with the orchestra the following month in a programme of Sibelius, Weinberg and Tchaikovsky.
