Crashing the Tea Party: Mass Media and the Campaign… by Paul Street
A good, and needed, examination of the Tea Party as a mass-mediated phenomenon (as opposed to a "grassroots" movement). The editing/proofing, though, seemed sloppy at times, and the sometimes-preachy style probably won't do anything for those not already convinced of the authors' point of view.

Barack Obama and the Future of American Politics by Paul Street
Destined to be a classic, Street knows Obama's soul is a corporate one, very convincing, unflinching, analysis of Barrack and American politics in general. The best book on Obama period.
