This book is about a child who has his first day of school he was nervous and didn't want to tell his mother because she told him he was handsome. walked with his friend and he didn't know how to tell her because she was nervous as well when he got to school he met his teacher who helped him laugh by giving him a green crayon and said so you can remember my name mr.green. this book is an oldie but good last published in 1975 I enjoyed reading it and can not wait t read it to my class.

From dogs, nightmares, shadows and heights this book addresses many fears children may have. This book rationalizes the fears like shadows which end up being a tree or like in the story her brother. The character addresses her feelings and lets readers know it’s ok to be afraid sometimes and that everyone has felt afraid at times.

This story the story of a little boy who didn't want to start school but once he got to school he realized there was nothing to be scared of but that it was actually fun.

Rhyming story about having a bad day. Reminds me of Viorst's Alexander stories, but more earnest.
