Strange Brew by Dave Thomas

A film starring Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas (MGM, 1983).

Two idiots stumble on a conspiracy to drug beer.

C (Indifferent).

Not for sober audiences. It had a couple laughs. Not many. It kind of has the feeling of being written by Mad Libs.

SCTV: Behind the Scenes by Dave Thomas

HAHAHAHA love this! Dave Thomas wrote this in 1996 because, as an original cast member, he didn't want a tell-all written by someone else. Also, he's a self-proclaimed hoarder. He's got hilarious observations on this amazing show and its writers and performers. Some of the best chapters: cast members describe each other's comedy, a tribute to John Candy, and a comparison of SCTV vs SNL. It's also got a bunch of trivia quizzes for superfans. I really did laugh out loud to see Edith Prickley, Guy Caballero, Bob and Doug McKenzie, Sammy Maudlin, Bobby Bittman, Monster Horror Chiller Theatre, Ed Grimley, and Lola Heatherton again.… (more)
