The prequel to this series was a spicy little novelette of a romance, and I was hoping this would be a longer version of something along those lines. But it was not. This one was very sketchy, and not at all romantic. The author tried to venture into BDSM I think, but without much of a grasp on it. (I've read very romantic novels with BDSM in them, so that element isn't to blame here). They punished instead of disciplined (when she didn't do something perfectly on the first try despite her best effort, striking when in peak anger, they ignored all verbal protestations if there was any physical sign of arousal whatsoever, consent wasn't on their radar). They literally purchased her, and then spent the rest of the book just training her to please them. All of it. Did they ask her how she came to be at a brothel auction? Who cares! Did they offer to avenge her against her horrible step-brother? Step-who? Ugh. If you want just 'menage sex-slave training' and aren't particular about actual BDSM, consent, plot, character development, or romance, enjoy!… (more)

My Perception:

"Man Hunt" is a steamy, humorous romance that will keep you hooked as you follow the story of Maverick and Bridget, a dynamic couple. The plot kicks off when Bridget mistakenly sends an email to her boss instead of her best friend. The story unfolds from there, exploring how Maverick responds upon receiving the email. Enjoy lots of witty banter between these two characters in this entertaining, light-hearted tale.… (more)
