Lisa Wingate is an award-winning journalist, magazine columnist, popular inspirational speaker and a national bestselling author. Recently, Lisa's Blue Sky Hill Series received national attention with back-to-back nominations for American Christian Fiction Writers Book of the Year Award for A Month show more of Summer (2009) and The Summer Kitchen (2010). In 2011, Lisa's Novel, Never Say Never, won the American Christian Fiction Writers Book of the Year Award. Before We Were Yours: A Novel by Lisa Wingate

An amazing audiobook! The story is well written with engaging narration (especially in the 1939 scenes). This profound story is based on an orphanage that was, essentially, a criminal enterprise. I'd never heard of the Tennessee Children's Home Society. Georgia Tann, the main operator, escaped prosecution when she died of cancer during the investigation in 1950.

Highly recommended!
