Description | Lord Guilford Dudley (1536-1554) was the husband of Lady Jane Grey, who was Queen of England for only a few days in 1553. Queen Mary I, having taken the throne, was merciful to many of the plotters, especially to Jane and Guildford, recognizing them as pawns. They were executed after Wyatt's Rebellion, a protest against Mary's marriage to Philip of Spain. Lord Guildford Dudley in Wikipedia |
