(Fictitious character) Samantha is the daughter of Gideon Drass -- her mother died when she was eight. Samantha is brilliant, doing graduate work when she is only a teenager. She is extremely unhappy, however, because her father insists that she work at the Finemdi Impulse Station in Orland, Florida. She is very isolated there. The human employees are wary of her because of her father, and he punishes deities who attempt to befriend her. He thinks that he has built a great life for her, and he can't understand why she would like to make her own choices.
