About My Library
Very old-school: Let's just say I'm not about to get a Kindle anytime soon. These are not wishlist, e-books or the read-but-unowned variety, but lovely, tangible, tactile paper ones weighing down the bookshelves in my study. My collection is almost exclusively non-fiction; heavy on political and critical theory, philosophy, science, women's studies, law, religion, and a smattering of the occult. As a former foodie, I've also got a bunch of well-used cookbooks and wine manuals. And in fond memory of curling up with British armchair mysteries as a girl, I'm still hanging on to the collected works of Agatha Christie.

About Me
Version 1: Influenced in equal parts by Herman Hesse, Timothy Leary, and the SDS, my youthful search for spiritual transcendence morphed into an equally idealistic search for the revolution to end all revolutions. Mellowed by the vagaries of realpolitiks and work with both victims and offenders in the criminal justice system, I'm spending my middle years in the belly of the beast as a government consultant in search of a viable savings account...

Version 2: Dedicated bookworm and music collector, sporadic gardener, DIY home renovator, sometime local activist, feminist, legal beagle, wannabe artist, public policy analyst, closet academic, and more! Call me "renaissance grrl."
