About My Library

Edinburgh’s Library of Mistakes exists to allow students, professionals and members of the general public to study financial history to understand how finance has worked rather than how it should work if key unrealistic assumptions are made. Access is free to members who sign up through the website. The library does not lend books at this time.

As part of the Didasko Education Charity (registered charity SC040205) the library helps support financial education, including running a course on Advanced Valuation in Financial Markets. Our partner Future Asset encourages young women to work in financial services, and the library supports the work of the Market Mind Hypothesis, a multidisciplinary project to improve markets and ultimately benefit society.

By studying financial history we hope to improve financial understanding one mistake at a time.
