About My Library
Our library is non-circulating. It is educational in nature and exists for the reference use of staff and volunteers. Outside inquiries will be taken and answered as time allows.
About Me
The John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove is the first home in America of the artist/naturalist John James Audubon. The historic home is sited on a bluff overing the Perkiomen Creek. It is near Philadelphia, PA, and located next to Valley Forge National Historic Park. Mill Grove is operated as a public/private partnership between its owner, Montgomery County,PA, and its manager, the National Audubon Society. The wildlife sancutary has 200 acres and over 5 miles of trails. The historic stone, center hall Colonial house, built in 1762, is open Tues-Sat, 10-4, Sun, 1-4, Closed Mondays and Major Holidays. Modest admission to the house museum. Grounds are open free.
