- About My Library
- SACHF's book collection includes books in Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, and Icelandic, as well as English. Religion, World War II, diplomacy, sociology, major Scandinavian and Scandinavian-American historic figures, art, culture, geography, genealogy, literature, and childrens books are some of the many subjects covered by our collection.
Many of our other titles can be found (and will eventually be integrated into this site) in the CLU Pearson Library's online catalog at http://www.callutheran.edu/iss/research/. - About Me
- The Scandinavian American Cultural and Historical Foundation (SACHF) is located at 26 Faculty Road, at the corner of Mountclef Boulevard, adjacent to the California Lutheran University (CLU) campus in Thousand Oaks, CA. Our mission is to preserve and promote Scandinavian heritage and culture for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations. A museum and library, the center provides an ongoing display of artifacts, a lending library, information for genealogy research, as well as offering a full calendar of programs, classes and events related to Scandinavian heritage.
SACHF sponsors an annual Scandinavian Festival on the CLU campus in April. For more information or questions about this event, contact scanfestival@callutheran.edu.
For questions about other SACHF programs or to inquire about visiting our collection, call (805) 241-0391. - Location
