What stars mean:
1 = Books that should not be read.
2 = Books that are bad or forgettable, but more worthy than one star.
3 = Books that are enjoyable, but nothing to write home about.
4 = Books that are hard to put down and can't wait to pick up again.
5 = Books I would like to read again.

Over the last six months, I "re-read" Ernest Hemingway's Old Man and the Sea. I added the book to my "read before joining librarything" collection on 10/25/2009. I must confess. This was the first time I read it. To correct, I removed Old Man and the Sea from that collection. I made another change, this time to a book in my "read after joining librarything" collection. N. K. Jemisin's The Fifth Season rating went from 3 to 5. It was a 3 because I was mad at how the book was written. It is now a 5 because I have read the book more than once.

There were many four star books over the last six months I would recommend: Deck the Hounds by David Rosenfelt, Lost Hills by Lee Goldberg, Mr. Monk and The Two Assistants by Lee Goldberg, Naked in Death by J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts,) One-Way Trip by Scott McEwen, The Judge's List by John Grisham, True Fiction by Lee Goldberg, Twas the Bite Before Christmas by David Rosenfelt, and the above mentioned Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway.

I am sad to say for me, but would be happy to know this information so maybe good for you, there a two books I started to read but aborted: For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway and Thalia by Larry McMurtry. What really breaks my heart is those two authors wrote two of my favorite books: Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry, and the recently read The Old Man and The Sea by Ernest Hemingway.

The Overall rating went up to 3.02873563218391 from 3.02074074074074. That is 0.007994891, 0.26396795% increase. I like to see the overall rating increase.

My "Read before joining LibraryThing" collection has 59 more books than my Read after joining LibraryThing collection (392 - 333.) I estimate the collections will have the same number in 28 months, March of 2027. We will see!

Note: I create the above in notepad and copy/paste here. The automatic double spacing is not what I want. Using "quote" format is work around I found.
