About My Library

I first joined LibraryThing in middle school, over 15 years ago, so many older entries in my library may be somewhat outdated relative to my current interests. I enjoy science fiction, especially when it is especially technical or based around complex and detailed worldbuilding. I also enjoy books on nature and ecology, Classical Greece (I minored in Ancient Greek in college), baseball history, and niche technical works about interests such as sea kayaking, climbing, and geology. Most of what I read has been entered into my library. I am slowly updating some technical and reference books from my library.

Favorite authors include Ursula K. LeGuin, Philip K. Dick, Wendell Berry, Aldo Leopold, and Cormac McCarthy.

About Me

I work as a wilderness guide and facilitator for youth outdoor education programs in Portland, ME. I love the outdoors, technical pursuits in the outdoors (sea kayaking, rock climbing and alpinism, skiing, etc.), sports (baseball, rugby, distance running), Irish folk music and folklore, and science and natural history. And my cat.
