- About Me
- I can't remember a time when I didn't love to read. My father taught me to read when I was three years by teaching me a poem about a jack o' lantern. To this day, all these years later, I remember that poem verbatim. My father, 89 years old now, and not able to remember much else, remembers that poem, too. And I can always make him smile by reciting it to him.
For all my adult life, I've worked with books, obsessed myself with books, surrounded myself with books. To the point where there has been less room for me in my house than there is for my books.
But I've always found comfort and warmth in them. Deep in the night, when I can't sleep, I can read poems, re-live Sarah Crewe's adventures in London, and watch as Scout walks Boo back to his front porch.
I love my books.
I'm currently reading:
I capture the castle by Dodie Smith
