Not focusing on the Price family, this short story rather follows Istas and Ryan as they go through a daunting phase in any relationship, let alone when being two different kinds of Cryptids.

Another nice story, but I didn't like it too much as some of the characters were extremely prejudiced. ( )

Another short from the POV of Istas!!! So exciting! Ryan and Istas make such a great couple and I enjoy seeing their dynamic. I love that the author chose to write some of these shorts outside of the Price family and show us more of the Cryptid world. Istas, in spite of being a "monster," is exactly how I'd like to be in regards to what other people think of me. She's a great character and I've enjoyed learning more about her. ( )

Istas and Ryan go to visit his family - it doesn't go well. It doesn't go as badly as it might have, though. I haven't read the first story in this sequence, and I don't particularly remember them from Verity's stories, but the interaction is pretty clear. ( )
