This book was about a mom having cancer and telling her daughter how everything was going to be okay. She explained each stage and how things were going to get better and things that would make her happy. This was a sweet book. I loved this book although it was sad. ( )

This book is incredibly appropriate for children who have a parent living with cancer. However, it was not appropriate for my family. My 4 year old is a little too young to understand what cancer is but that didn't keep her from asking questions. I cried while reading the book.

I would buy this book for a fellow mom friend if she was diagnosed with cancer and wasn't sure how to talk to her children about it.

Pros: This book appropriately explains to children what to expect when their parents have cancer.

While the prescriptions help the body, sometimes care from a loved one is better during hard times. And to remember that it isn't the child's fault that it is happening.

This book is from the perspective of a mom with cancer talking to her daughter. The book is generally about the mom explaining that through everything such as chemotherapy, surgery, and hair loss, the best medicine she could possibly have is her daughter. She shows this by recalling memories of the two of them together through the birth of her daughter until the present day. It ends on a loving note with them together and gives hope for the future. Appropriate for ages 4-6.
