Loading... Miles to Go (edition 2009)by Miley Cyrus (Author)I really like Miley. I have from the very first Hannah Montana episode until now. I think people are trying to find faults in her that don't really exist. You have to remember that she was 16 when she wrote this and is 22 now. People change. They grow up, they learn more and they have different opinions. You can't hold her to what she said as a child. This book is well written and easy to read and I liked it. I like her little scribbles on the side of the pages and her photos and the stories are cute. And the random bible versus didn't even bother me. Usually they do, but there not over done here. I read some other reviews and I think the people who wrote them are pretty ignorant about Miley Cyrus and what she's doing in her life. It may look like she's a mess, but she's not. She's an extremely talented artist who writes her own music, and she creates visual art and clothing. She has positive body image messages and she accepts everyone. She doesn't treat her fans like garbage either. She works with many different charities and have donated countless hours and money to many causes, and she has since she was a child. How can people think she is stupid and wrong and gross? I think she's fantastic. There are many instances in this book where she states that she wants to be young and free for as long as she can. To live life to the fullest and to experience everything. She doesn't make music to make money, it's just a bonus. (She just released a free album, btws) She's not afraid to be herself and she shouldn't have to be. I like this book and people should read it. Like, really read it. You'll probably learn something. Don't just assume everything is fake and made up because it came from a celebrity. Sometimes they are good people, just doing the best they can with what they were given. Come by my blog, Forever Lost in Books, for MORE reviews, giveaways, interviews and memes! Actual rating : 3.5/5 stars My Opinion : So, first, let me tell you, this isn't my genre of books. This is an autobiography, and it was my first ever in this genre! I only read it because I could get it for free at the library, and that Miley Cyrus is in my favorite artists. As I read the first pages, I thought; Wow! Miley Cyrus has developed a degree of literacy! I liked to see how she got to be the big star she now is. Anyone who dreams of being a superstar; you ought to read the book. Miles to go was written by Miley Cyrus. The story tells us about her journeys throughout her life, it informs us about her struggles and how she got from what she was to who she is now. Before she became famous and well known around the whole entire world, she was bullied in sixth grade she wasn’t popular she was just an average teenager until one day her life turn around forever she was auditioning for a new TV show series “Hannah Montana” he took her a few auditioning’s to get the position as the main character on the show, it took a while to get the position but once she got it, it was worth it. The book is great because it informs us how she was just an average teenager girl and now she is a famous singing living her dream, the book is in journal form, which is easy to read. She has also attached pictures in the book to show us her life when she was younger to now. After reading the book my opinion changed on her I didn’t really like her and then I read the book and it changed the way I look at her now. Even if you don’t like Miley Cyrus it’s still a good book to read, it’s even more interesting because its real life and this really happened to an average teenager. It is very detailed about her life which tells us heaps about her family friends and her life. I know what you are thinking, and yes, I wanted to hate the book. Trust me, I wasn’t a fan of Miley Cyrus. In fact, I thought she was kind of annoying (okay, really annoying). However, my opinion has changed after reading her book. Miley is a hard-working teenager who has the same issues as everyone else. She chronicles her short but hectic life by going back and forth from her trials and tribulations of school bullies in the sixth grade, her heart condition (tachycardia), and how she got the lead part in the Disney TV show, Hannah Montana. The best part or should I say the juiciest part was when she talked about her first real love with “Prince Charming.” Of course, if you are a major TV addict like me and watch E! News everyday, then you must know she is referring to her on-again, off-again romance with the curly hair, youngest Jonas Brother (Nick). This is 263 pages of non-stop Miley with family photographs. I’d recommend this book to Miley superfans and reluctant readers who watch Hannah Montana. Miley's first autobiography (let's not kid ourselves, there'll be another 10 on the way) is strangely readable. If you think about what you're reading, you'll realise it's the biggest load of twaddle that has ever been allowed to be published, but if you just let yourself read her story and feel what she's feeling, it is an enjoyable read. If you really get into it, you even find your eyes filling with tears when she goes through difficult times - I won't give anything away, but there are a couple of heartbreaking stories enclosed within the pages. While this book will be winning no prizes, fans will enjoy reading about her life. And admittedly, while I believe her writing is "the biggest load of twaddle", it makes her personality shine through the pages and shows that at heart she's just a teenage girl. How come hardly anybody likes Miley Cyrus anymore? There is nothing wrong with her!! She is just a girl trying to make her mark on the world. She loves to sing and likes doing Hannah MOntana! What is wrong with that? I have heard lots of people saying all kinds of things about her. Everyone has there opinion, but most of u r saying bad things about her because u think she is for little kids or something. Her music is outstanding. She is a fantastic actor. Great personality. Respectable person. This book says alot of things about her. She been through all that we have. She has problems and struggles like anyone else. Give her a chance. She hasnt harmed u. This book is amazing. She is also a very good author. Its very interesting. She is a very talented girl. ANd needs more of u to help her along her journey. fans r everything. |
