There was a lot of things that I really enjoyed about this book. For one, the illustrations are spectacular and they are so interesting to look at and examine. I also love that the author includes information at the end of the story, allowing the reader to know about squirrels and how they live and interactive within the environment. In addition to that, I also really enjoyed the author's sense of rhythm and rhyme. It helped create an upbeat tone for the writing and it made the book stronger. I loved how simple the book was and that the message was to enjoy simple things and to pay attention to what is around you. ( )

In Nuts to You, the unnamed first-person (but presumably child) narrator wants a squirrel to come be his/her indoor pet...but when the squirrel does get inside, the narrator lures it out again with a trail of nuts. Small text labels other flora and fauna throughout the book (ladybug, tulip bulb, American Goldfinch, monarch butterfly, tomato plant, petunia plant) and there is more information about squirrels in the back. It's summer in the city, and a rascally squirrel is up to all sorts of tricks. But when he sneaks inside an apartment window, he'll need one nutty solution to get back out! Labels identify plants, birds, and insects on each page, and a glossary at the back of the book offers factual details about squirrels. One of her youngest and most popular titles, Nuts to You! is Lois Ehlert at her high-spirited, breathtaking best. ( )

Although the illustrations remind me a little of Eric Carle, they were a little difficult to discern and the book seemed a little boring. Something about the flow seemed off. ( )

I really enjoyed reading, "Nuts to You!" This book is for first, second, or third grade. The book is all about squirrels. It has pictures of squirrels and it describes squirrel actions. The book has some wonderful information in it. It has an identification card beside things, such as; flower names, tree names, name tag on the window, and etc.. At the end of the book there is a page that talks about the use of squirrel teeth, feet, tail, nest/home, and just gives some extra facts. I really that this book would be useful in a classroom for fun and educational purposes. ( )

This story is a real story that happened to the author. Its about a squirrel that gets into someones house. At the end of the book the author tells the reader about squirrels. This is a good story because it is relatable and teaches good facts. This story could be for grade levels k-2nd grade.

This book is very informational describing the habits of squirrels. This book uses many real life pictures which will be great for a nature walk to playing eye spy. This helps kids get a little understanding of the real life situations that animal lives in. This book is great for younger elementary. ( )

This story is about a squirrel living outside a apartment. The squirrel was eating the mom's seeds who lived in the apartment and ended up sneaking through a tear in the screen on the window, but ended up leaving the house to get some nuts. This book is a fun book for the younger grade levels. After reading this book, we could talk about squirrels - where they live, what they eat, how they get places, etc.

Nuts to You! is an informational book about a young boy who follows the behavior habits of a squirrel. It is pretty simple, so it is aimed at a young elementary age. It would be great for teaching children about animal habits and squirrels in particular and as a learning tool for how they can personally discover more about certain animals just as this boy did!

This book helps readers learn about squirrels: what they eat, what they use their teeth for, etc. It takes readers through a day in the life of the squirrel eating peanuts, sitting on someone's window sill and many more things. ( )

This story is about a mischievous squirrel who enjoys digging around in the garden and getting into trouble. When he sneaks into the house, through a ripped screen, the resident has to come up with a novel way of getting him to go back outside. Children and adults will enjoy this book, both for its amazing collage art, and also for the interesting animal and plant names that you learn from leafing through this book.

This book is spent chasing a squirrel out of places that it does not belong. Eventually a little boy is able to get the boy out of the house by creating a trail of nuts. He keeps the nuts with him to make sure he does not come back.

This book gives good examples of rhyming words. It is a fun book to read to children during the fall season.

This book is about a squirrel. It was getting into many different things like flower beds, the bird feed, and even into the house through a hole in the screen door. The little kid got him out of the house by laying nuts on the ground outside. The squirrel left, and the little boy then kept nuts in his pocket for any time he saw the squrriel. I liked this book because on every page it had vocabulary for the picture in the book tell exactly what everything is.
