I've had these reference books since I was a wee child - So 40 years. The fables, legends and stories are lovingly told in each volume with wonderful black and white illustrations. I still use them occasionally to look things up. They're a treasure. ( )

Wonderful assortment of stories include everything from The Odyssey of Homer to The Three Little Pigs.

We bought Vol Five, "Stories That never Grow Old". It contains the following unabridged classics: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, The King of the Golden River, Jackanapes, A Midsummer Night's Dream (not the Shakespeare version), The Gold Bug, Tales from the Travels of Baron Munchausen, Gulliver's Voyage to Lilliput, Don Quixote, Rip Van Winkle and A Christmas Carol. ( )

My favorite childhood books! I've read them over & over, and look forward with great delight to reading them to my grandson. ( )

I wish to own the whole set(1-10), as of right now I only have books 5 and 6
