I've had these reference books since I was a wee child - So 40 years. The fables, legends and stories are lovingly told in each volume with wonderful black and white illustrations. I still use them occasionally to look things up. They're a treasure. ( )

We bought Vol Five, "Stories That never Grow Old". It contains the following unabridged classics: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, The King of the Golden River, Jackanapes, A Midsummer Night's Dream (not the Shakespeare version), The Gold Bug, Tales from the Travels of Baron Munchausen, Gulliver's Voyage to Lilliput, Don Quixote, Rip Van Winkle and A Christmas Carol.
