One of Junie B.’s top front teeth is loose! Only Junie B. is not that thrilled about this development. Because what if she looks like toothless Uncle Lou? And even worse . . . what’s all this tooth fairy business? Like, who is this woman, really? And what does she do with all those used teeth? So many questions, so little time. ( )

This book is about a first grade girl named Junie B. Jones. She has a loose front tooth and is very worried about what she is going to look like when she loses the tooth. This book could be used in the classroom to show students that it is okay to lose teeth, and hopefully the students can relate to this book as well as be entertained by it. I would recommend using this book in an older classroom since it is a chapter book. ( )

Junie B. Jones is a classic series of books that has been loved by years. This particular one, Toothless Wonder, is about Junie B. losing her tooth and having so many questions all the way from worrying about what she looks like to all the hype about the tooth fairy. This could be a book for upper elementary students to read or for a teacher to read to their class during a reading period of time. ( )

Junie B. Jones loses a top tooth, but is worried she will look funny or different. Shes got some questions for the tooth fairy too. What does she do with all of the teeth? Why does she collect teeth? Is she really a fairy?
The Junie B. Jones series is a relateable series for elementary aged students. Junie B. Jones goes through many of the things young children go through and shows students they are not alone in their problems. These books are organized the way an elementary student thinks and writes, making these books an easy read. ( )

It was about a girl named Junie B. Jones and how she lost her tooth. She didn't want to lose it because she thought she would look like toothless Uncle Lou. Junie also didn't want to put her tooth under her pillow because she thought the tooth fairy witch would come. She made it a big deal but she accepted it and realized it wasn't a bad thing after all.

Junie B. Jones is nervous about losing her tooth, but soon finds out that losing her tooth comes with some perks! I remember reading many Junie B. Jones books when I was younger and thoroughly enjoying them because I could relate the them. I think that children will enjoy these books because they can personally relate to Junie B. Jones. These would be fun books for children to write book reports over and explain their own personal experience when faced with the same experience Junie B. Jones was faced with. ( )

Category/genre: Chapter book
notable: series

This series is great for elementary readers as they go through and experience some of the same things Junnie B. Jones talks about. The book is humorous as Junnie becomes the first student in her grade to loose her first tooth. She worries about many things as she goes through this experiences and discusses how the tooth fairy might be evil. Young readers will find themselves in love with the series as they follow her humor through the numerous books she has. ( )

This book is about the first grader, Junie B Jones, coming to terms with losing her teeth. She deals with embarrassment and ultimately excitement as she finds out about the tooth fairy and the prize she can get for losing teeth and being a big kid. The Junie B Jones series is a goofy saga about a lovable albeit silly kid who represents the "every kid" as she goes through the trials and tribulations of growing up. The narration is always kid friendly and easily understandable vocab-wise, making them great books for readers to delve into on their on without a nearby adult to help. I used to love Junie B Jones because I found her more relatable than any other young girl series character. Re-reading one of her books made me light up at hoe my impression of her from my youth is still how I feel now. ( )

Junie B. is in first grade now, as outspoken and exasperating to her teacher as ever. Junie's journey from a loose tooth to some life lessons addresses common fears children might have, and how these fears can be addressed successfully - with some adult help, of course. Young readers will appreciate this next chapter in Junie B.'s life and adventures.

I would not use this in a high school setting. However, I could recommend this book to student volunteers who work with, and read to younger children. ( )

This book is in a series all about Junie B. Jones and her crazy adventures and life she lives. In this book she is the first one to lose her tooth in her first grade class and doesn't want her tooth to be out or any more to fall out. This book is good for second to fourth grade and can be used to talk about narrative writing and vocabulary. ( )

This book is about Junie and how she loses her first tooth. She is the first person to lose a tooth in her class and is happy but scared because she is she may end up looking like Uncle Lou, who is toothless. When she finally loses her tooth she realizes that she doesn't look weird but that she looks intriguing and can't wait to show off her new smile. She then struggles with the fact that she doesn't think the tooth fairy is a real fairy but is actually an evil witch. She later faces her fears and places her tooth under her pillow and in the morning is able to realize that the tooth fairy is real and they are meant to recycle baby teeth.
This book would relate towards children in first grade who are going to be losing teeth and may be worried about it. The book does have grammatical errors like the other Junie B. series so children should be notified beforehand. ( )

I enjoyed this book. Junie B Jones books are very good books for readers who having been reading chapter books for about a year. Junie B Jones gives readers someone who they can relate to as they are growing up. In this book Toothless Wonder it take Junie through losing her first tooth. Each chapter is a different step in losing a tooth, Chapter one: Prizes, Chapter Five: The Fairy, and chapter eight: Smiling. The Chapter order does make sense and the book has a very good flow. The book does have some pictures and I think that they are very useful in where they are placed, for example it shows Junie waking up to find the new money and the tooth gone. Over all this is a very good, cute book. ( )

I really enjoyed this book for several reasons, but also disliked certain parts. The only thing I disliked about this book was the bad grammar written. I understand that this book is written from the point of view of Junie B. Jones, but sometimes children pick up on this bad grammar written and bring it to their own academics. I liked the realistic fiction of a story. Every child who reads this book will be able to identify with Junie B. Jones and loosing their first tooth. The repetition of the beginning of the story is great for children to read and practice fluency. The main message of this story is just to relate back to children and loosing a tooth is not as scary as children might think. ( )

Junie B. loses her front tooth and is the first in her class to do so. When the tooth falls out she is too scared to put it under her pillow because she is afraid of what the tooth fairy will do with it. She finally gets the courage to put it under the pillow but finds out what the tooth fairy really does with it, gives it to her baby brother! I love that this book gives you a real scenario of what a child actually thinks. This book allows the kids to find it interesting to read and more relatable. I love her humor and analogies.
GENRE: Early Chapter book
USE: Tooth fairy is real
Loosing teeth makes you a grown up

In my opinion, this is a great book. It is especially great for children who have their first loose tooth and may be scared about losing it or the tooth fairy. It uses funny language that both kids and adults can enjoy, and I found myself laughing at various points throughout the book. The book begins with an entry in Junie B.’s journal with cross outs and spelling corrections where needed. This alternative style of introducing the book engages students and is relatable, reminding students of their own experiences. In addition to addressing what it’s like to loose a tooth, this book also touches on the importance of recycling. Junie B. tells a story about “Dan Dan the soda can” and explains the process of recycling in a fun way. She says, “Recycling makes sense. Ha! Get it? Cents sounds like Sense!” The underlined and italicized words put emphasis on what is important and helps children make the connection between the homophones. At the end, I love that the book comes full circle, referring back to the “Dan Dan the soda can” story to explain that the tooth fairy must have recycled her tooth and given it to her baby brother. Overall, the big idea in this story is that there is nothing to be scared about when loosing a tooth.

Junie is starting to experience the losing teeth phase. She thinks she looks like a hillbilly. She also is wondering who the tooth fair is, and wants to find out fast. ( )

Julie B., jones the toothless wonder is about Junie B Jones and when she has her first loose tooth. At first she is very excited because she will be the first one in her class to lose a tooth, but then after awhile she is nervous because she won't know how she will look without her tooth there! Cute? Ugly? Like Incle Lou?? This would be a good read for
Second graders because this is the stage where kids starting caring what other people think of them. This would be a great book to read and to get across to students that everyone goes through this stage. There are a few simple, black and white photos throughout this chapter book. ( )
