Well listen, I enjoyed the crap outta this book. Even more so than the first in the series, this contemporary witchy romance is bubbly, bright, bantery and just about flies by. In fact, I read it all in one sitting. Is it gonna change your life? No. Is it gonna make you cry and/or question your life choices? Also no. But in a field crammed with often poorly edited and half-assed yet overwrought romantasy efforts, this cute, quick, and reasonably well-written gem is as refreshing as a nice breeze on a swampy Georgia day. Likeable characters, enemies-to-lovers in the breeziest ways, especially if it's your vibe already you're gonna love this one. ( )

I thought this book was super cute and a def a nicd edition to the series. I think overall i liked this book even more then book one. I also loved the mystery in this book was abit harder to predict and also really loved all the main characters as well. This book really was like adult stars hallow and with magic!! I liked the hate to more romance and also the other elements that filled out this world. I hope we get more books in this series. It again is a prefect fall read!! ( )

I got to 60% and thought ... why am I doing this? So, nope. The first book, The Ex Hex, had enough humor in it that I could mostly overlook the romance, but this one is just straight up romance and it's not my jam.

Not badly written, just not my thing, which is why I'm not rating it.

A quick and easy read that I liked much more than The Ex Hex. Cute and light. Would recommend for the beach or vacation! ( )

Was looking forward to the next chapter of this story and it did not disappoint. The banter between our leads was so much fun! Loved the addition of the baby witches, we saw more of Vivi and Rhys, and now I want to see Bowen go up against their Dad! ( )

I liked it better than the first one, so that's good, right? Still not my favorite series, but an enjoyable enough quick read. ( )

this is palatable. It's very on par with the first one. The couple is ok but overall this series doesn't really rev my engine.
I also have a pet peeve when books inlcude tarot cards and get the meaning wrong (6 of swords does not mean sneakiness, that would be the 7 of swords).

the cat is still the best character in this.

This book focuses on Gwyn and Wells and the town as we lead up to Halloween and Vivi and Rhys leaving for their honeymoon. I love that while we are watching Gwyn and Wells fall in love there are multiple stories happening in the background like the baby witches, Morgan, and whatever is happening to Gwyn's magic. I am glad that there is a third book planned and I hope that we get to see more of third Penhallow brother.
This is a fun, quick read and was thoroughly enjoyable.
Highly recommend. ( )
