What a fun book.
Straightforward and lighthearted horror tale of a living guy and his undead partner hunting a monster. Plenty of witty banter.
Feels like there should be a second. And a third.

This book is only 115 pages long so I didn't expect it to go long in the details and I really liked the story but now I have so many questions about the backgrounds of the characters and the social norms of this reality. It starts off with a potentially ostracizing event but we don't know the weight of it because it's dealing with paranormal characters. On the plus side, the lack of background information on the characters leave you wondering if they are good, bad, or have a hidden agenda.

The cover art is good but they really should have made the house white on the cover. It's in the name of the book and described as a white house. It's the details that really love something rather than just liking.

This would be a good series starter and I would recommend this to anyone wanting a quick read on a stormy Halloween night. : ) ( )
