Not always easy to parse--these are philosophers not poets. But always thought-provoking and insightful. ( )

Basically a really nice textbook and nothing more. A bit too dry if you want to read it for fun. ( )

Rather simplistic even for popular philosophy, although probably good for reference ( )

This book helps keep me grounded on isms, arguments, counter-arguments, reasoning and its limitations. I find it more and more useful as time goes on as and I try to learn more about philosophy and thinking. ( )

nice, but one might have to actually understand philosophy before being able to meaningfully navigate this book. probably wholly worthwhile as a companion to a beginning philosophy class or proseminar. ( )
